Income tax

If you are resident in the UK, you will be required to inform the Inland Revenue about rental your rental income and you will be required to pay any tax due. If you are a UK landlord, however you will be living outside the UK during a tenancy period, we will act on your behalf by retaining and forwarding on to the Inland Revenue an amount equal to the basic rate of income tax from rental received, less certain expenses. We will action this process on a quarterly basis, unless you hold a valid exemption certificate.
